Milk and Honey Review
When I first opened rupi kaur’s book, Milk and Honey, little did I know I would sit and read through every single poem. Every poem really just hits you in the core and brings back memories that are sweet and also deep to think about. She is so raw in her words and in her art. Some poems include her own artwork that shows simplicity but sends a deep message for all people. One of my favorites is on page 165. She sends a powerful message to women about our bodies. This book discusses topics such as rape, sex, puberty, relationships, break ups, and healing. I respect rupi so much for getting so personal in her poems. Many people can relate to her poetry and this is why her book was so successful because she is real as can be. Thank you rupi for writing this book. Much love to you.
